THE MISSION, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT, IS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROTOTYPE EXERCISE THAT WILL GUIDE OUR TEAM TO HELP BOTH THE ASSET AND THEIR HANDLER TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION METHODS.
The Asset Handler: A series of articles to explore and improve the methods used for meetings between people striving to be an expert and their mentor.
When creating the final output for our project, the goal became to incorporate an E-Book publication created in Adobe InDesign. The team belief is that our final product is typically dated, and does not take advantage of the advances in technology.
- Hand written note origin dates back 1000’s of years. They are difficult to modify, share, or present each meeting participants viewpoints, as this is limited to the note-takers ability to understand their team and actually capture or summarize findings.
- Microsoft Word initially released in 1981, roughly 37 years old. This is a very common program that typically has output sent to an Adobe Acrobat PDF because most have the free Adobe PDF reader.
We attempted an Adobe InDesign E-Book publication, and ran into a few errors, so our template output took a step backward to use an Adobe Acrobat PDF format. The content is very relevant for creating an agenda with meeting notes that are important. We look forward to the revisiting the project to create E-Book capability that will allow the the addition of image animation, video and audio clips which provide depth to the meeting work being performed.
The Asset Handler is the link to our final product. We also hope there have been a few ideas to inspire how the audience thinks about the one-on-one meeting. Please contact if you are interested in participating in the E-book!
